Ingredients

  • 1½ cups water
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 2 tsp Assam tea leaves
  • 2-3 tsp sugar (or jaggery for a desi twist!)
  • ½ inch fresh ginger, grated
  • 2-3 green cardamom pods, crushed
  • 1 small cinnamon stick
  • 2-3 cloves
  • Optional: black pepper, fennel seeds, or Chaiera’s secret masala mix
